Experienced Hires
Experienced hires typically join the firm at the Managing Consultant or Vice President level, but depending upon their experience, we may consider them for other positions. For experienced hire opportunities at the MC level, we recruit candidates with at least 3-5 years of prior consulting experience. Key requirements include experience managing teams, engagement management experience, and the ability to deliver effective business presentations to clients. Candidates applying for the Vice President position should additionally communicate their business development and leadership experience.
Managing Consultant
The Managing Consultant position offers early exposure to business issues faced by leading corporations in broad range of industries.
- Manages consulting engagements from start to finish
- Develops insightful conclusions and recommendations based on research findings and own analysis
- Responsible for developing and presenting client-ready business presentations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages engagements, including oversight of team, research, and preparation of documents for client presentations
- Analyzes research information to develop conclusions, insights, and recommendations;
- Writes client-ready presentations and delivers powerful, effective business presentations;
- Conducts client interviewing and research;
- Serves as key point of contact between team and senior officers of the firm and clients
- Responsible for professional development of team members
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years consulting experience at a top management consulting firm required
- Business research and analysis
- Leadership and/or project management experience preferred
- Experience working with senior business leaders
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Vice President
The Vice President position is the client relationship manager within Kaiser Associates, holding responsibility for business development, account management and project delivery for his/her client relationships. A Kaiser Associates' Vice President is a thought leader within the firm, relying on business knowledge, consulting skills, and diverse previous experience to analyze issues and drive solutions that transform the client's business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build a sustainable strategic management consulting practice utilizing Kaiser's core client strategy
- Engage new and drive repeat business using Kaiser's core client strategy and in-house methodologies;
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue generation targets
- Diagnose client business challenges and develop in-going hypotheses
- Conceptualize and design a consulting approach that will address the identified problems/hypotheses
- Write proposals to describe the consulting approach and define the engagement scope
- Utilize exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to take facts and generate powerful insights and compelling recommendations that will impact the client's business
- Deliver and present recommendations to clients
- Manage several simultaneous engagements
- Manage, coach and lead engagement teams
- Support the development of a marketing strategy and associated materials to articulate new Kaiser Associates service offerings
- Develop junior consulting staff; provide training and mentoring for team members
- Lead and participate in internal initiatives, as assigned by the Managing Director
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Graduate degree, preferably MBA
EXPERIENCE:
- 8-10 years strategy consulting experience
- 1-5 years post-MBA project management experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Solid understanding of Kaiser value proposition
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to deliver high quality presentations to top executives
- Comprehensive capabilities in exhibiting articulate and clear communication, both verbal and written with strong listening skills
- Proven ability to deliver work cost-effectively and efficiently
