9:00AM: Identify new primary research contacts and conduct interviews
11:30AM: Gather together with your business development (BD) team for a quick meeting to discuss strategy for penetrating a new technology account
Noon: Eat lunch with colleagues in kitchen or on the roof deck, weather permitting
1:00PM: Transfer notes from the morning's interviews onto PowerPoint template; look for emerging patterns and analyze data
4:00PM: Edit document and e-mail to manager for review
4:30PM: Meet with entire engagement team to discuss key issues to include within the gap analysis and how to effectively communicate the message
6:30PM: Kaiser firm Happy Hour to welcome new consultants to the firm

8:30AM: Check calendar and action items; update to-do list and create a rough plan for how the day's hours will be split across projects
9:00AM: Populate engagement status summary presentation and lead weekly status update call with consumer products client; follow up meeting with Kaiser officer to provide an update on internal engagement progress, process management, elevating challenges to the officer-level as necessary
10:00AM: Meet with aerospace/defense project team members to discuss recent research progress against the work plan, set goals for the day / week and assign deadlines for manager and officer reviews. Listen to consultant concerns and brainstorm solutions.
11:30AM: Conduct a brainstorming session with project team to identify ways in which we could better leverage high-value Excel tools or modeling in the course of the engagement
Noon: Go out for lunch with mentor to discuss career development / take mentee to lunch to discuss career development
1:00PM: Conduct manager review of PowerPoint document: proofread, but also add analytical insights and thought leadership; deliver feedback to project team and update the PowerPoint template as necessary
3:00PM: Field retail client call regarding the most recent deliverable, and scheduling for the next client update
3:30PM: Write consultant performance reviews from previously completed projects
4:30PM: Create business development "pitch" decks or formal project proposal documents for an officer's upcoming meeting with a prospective client in the aerospace/defense market
5:30PM: Secure staffing for upcoming project and create a project work plan for the course of the engagement; meet with project staff for introduction to the project
6:30PM: Kaiser firm Happy Hour to welcome new consultants to the firm
